3/13/12 Helping at NAB

The big trade show of the year is just weeks away. NAB (National Association of Broadcasters) is held every April in Las Vegas and it’s the place to be to test out new gear and maybe learn some new techniques or technologies. I have gone the past few years, but this year is different… and special. This year am helping to man the Polecam booth so I will be going as an exhibitor instead of an attendee. Sweet.

The show lasts for about 5 days. Three days are traffic heavy with an expected 100,000 attendees navigating almost 1600 booths and exhibits. Those number are subject to change with a few weeks to go until it starts. If it has to do with broadcasting or production, it will be there. From Satellite Trucks to data storage to batteries to display signage. We’ll have it. Don’t forget cameras, lights, lenses and of course Polecams. Plenty of Polecams.

Below are some pictures I’ve taken from previous shows. Some displays are absolutely incredible and have live models to test equipment on. Others a just huge. Like that one Japanese camera maker… Yea that one. I always seem to get lost in their booth due to size and congestion so it’s more like a rock concert then a trade show. Only in Vegas.

Polecam will be at booth C5340. That’s in the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center, booth 5340. Stop by if you are attending the show. I’m sure we will have something cool to show you.
